BOBBY AND SHEILA WOOD
After living in the big city for 23 years of their married life, they decided they would prefer to live in a smaller town. They moved to Huntsville 30 years ago. Several years after moving to Huntsville, a young girl who was the daughter of one of Sheila's friends, invited her to go with her to the Madisonville Pentecostal Church to hear Bro. Don Grigsby teach on the tabernacle plan. She accepted the invitation, and that Bible study opened her understanding to the New Testament plan of salvation. She later returned to that church to attend revival services and was filled with the baptism of the Holy Ghost and was baptized in Jesus name. Upon learning that there was a newly founded church in Huntsville, she began attending Bro. Mott's church. Then in 1987 when Bro. Smith founded our present church, Sheila was one of the founding members and has remained faithful through the years. Bobby was slower to accept the Pentecostal way. Having been raised in the Church of Christ, he resisted this truth until the Lord opened up his understanding. Sheila has had the Holy Ghost 21 years; Bobby has had the Holy Ghost 10 years. Bobby and Sheila will celebrate their 53rd wedding anniversary November 4th. They have three daughters, two sons, six grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. We thank God
for Bobby and Sheila Wood. We appreciate their dedication to the church and
their willingness to labor in the work of the Lord. Their prayer and greatest
desire is to see the work of the Lord grow. |
