Sis. Marie Williams was born in Huntsville and has lived here most of her life. As a child she attended the Baptist Church here in Huntsville with her mother. She recalls the Lord dealing with her as a youngster, and remembers times when the older saints trembled under the Spirit. During those times, her heart cried out to God and she longed for that special touch in her life.

During her teenage years, Sis. Marie quit attending church and became quite rebellious. However, her mother continued to pray unceasingly for her. One night, Sis. Marie testifies, she was awakened out of a sound sleep, as a result of her mother's prayers, and she knew she must find God.

A gentlemen she worked with, even though he did not attend church anywhere, told her about a church in town where his wife occasionally visited. The man's wife, while at their place of employment one day, also told Marie about that church. As a result, these two ladies visited Life Tabernacle, a Pentecostal church in town, pastored by Bro. Wally Mott. Through the preaching of the Word, Sis. Marie realized her need of the Holy Ghost and the necessity of baptism in Jesus Name. Approximately six months after her first visit, Sis. Marie received the Holy Ghost and was baptized in Jesus Name. That was twenty-three years ago; and she says the Holy Ghost is still very real in her life today.

It was at Life Tabernacle, pastured by Bro. Mott, that Sis. Marie met Sis. Sheila Wood, who became her dear friend. They prayed and studied many hours on the phone, through which many marvelous things came forth. Sis. Marie states that during the illness and death of her husband, Sis. Sheila was a true friend and help in ways she never comprehended, and a constant source of encouragement then and continues to be today. What a blessing a friend in the Lord can be!

We thank God for Sis. Marie Williams, a beautiful Christian lady who is the mother of two sons and three daughters. Her prayer is to keep herself in a position where God can use her according to His plan and to be guided by His Spirit.

Sis. Marie desires that God's perfect will can be accomplished in her life and that she will be a blessing to all those she comes in contact with.
