ORLANDO AND MARTHA VASQUEZ

Orlando and Martha Vasquez were both born in El Salvador. They met on the job in Huntsville and their paths crossed again in Madisonville.

After they married, they lived in Huntsville for a while, but eventually moved to Houston, where they lived for one year. During this time, Martha was hungry for God and seeking salvation. She visited many different churches, but could not find what she was looking for. One day a lady from Channelview Pentecostal Church (Frances Cavazo) knocked on her door while on bus ministry and asked if they could pick up her children and take them to Sunday School. Martha asked if she could come too. That visit that day changed the lives of the Vasquez family. They began faithfully attending the Channelview Pentecostal Church until they moved back to Huntsville. Because they did not know there was a Pentecostal church in Huntsville, even after moving, Martha and her children would drive back to Channelview every Sunday to attend church. Finally, one Sunday on their way home, Alex spotted the Huntsville Pentecostal Church sign and said "Momma….that sign says Acts 2:38….that is the same kind of church we've been going to." The next service found Martha and her three children on the pews of Huntsville Pentecostal Church. In fact, the first night there, Martha received the baptism of the Holy Ghost. Since then the children have also received the Holy Ghost. Roxanna loves to sing, and enjoys being a part of the praise singers group. William has become a very talented drummer, and is certainly a blessing to the church. And Alex is developing his talent as a guitarist.

We all love and appreciate this family. Sis. Martha is a true prayer warrior and a witness to those she comes in contact with. Her most important prayer request is for her family and friends to be saved.
