BILL SANCHEZ
While still living in Iowa, Bill's life became a tangled web of sin, drugs, and crime. A friend of his, Janice Graves, who had once been as "mixed up" as he was, had made a complete "turn around" in her life; and he recognized the difference. She invited him to church, and knowing what a difference church had made in her life, he accepted the invitation. The first night he attended, the evangelist spoke about his life before receiving the Holy Ghost, and Bill says while listening to that message it was like he saw himself in a mirror, and he knew at that time if he didn't make a change in his life he would either die or end up in jail, so when the altar call was given, he committed his life to the Lord. Several months later, some of his Christian friends were moving to Huntsville, and asked if he would be interested in going to Texas. He did, and he feels the Lord was at that time leading him into the truth, as it was only a short time later that Sis. Bea Carrell, passing by where he had moved, invited him to HPC, where he heard the truth, and received the revelation of baptism in Jesus Name. Bill is a
great witness to those he comes in contact with on the job at Huntsville Memorial
Hospital and to those he is able to meet on the street. He wants to be more
given to prayer and to the reading of God's word, and to fulfill God's will
for his life by finding his place in the Kingdom of God. His desire is that
we all become one in Christ, where everyone is truly seen as Christians, rather
than "whites" or "blacks" etc. |
