THE ARCH W. HILLMAN FAMILY Arch and Sharon Hillman were both born in Ohio. He was born in Hardin, Ohio and she was born in Lancaster. They are second generation Pentecost and have had the Holy Ghost since they were teenagers. Bro. Hillman has always had a deep burden for foreign missions, and when his pastor, Bro. Willis Davis, in Louisville, Kentucky, was called to the mission field, his burden intensified even more. The church sponsored Bro. Davis, their former pastor when he went to American Samoa as a missionary, and again when he transferred to the Republic of South Africa. After serving three terms on the mission field, Bro. Davis returned to Ohio, where he became pastor in Columbus. Sharon Hysell was a single young lady in that church, and Bro. Davis decided to introduce her to Arch Hillman, a young man he pastored before going to the mission field. That introduction led to love; and love led to marriage. They lived in Ohio until his job with Ashland Oil transferred him to Houston in 1978. While living in the Houston area, they attended Life Tabernacle for many years. They have 4 children. Their daughter, Connie Cuadros, lives in Louisville, Kentucky. David lives in Allen, Texas; Bill lives in Houston, and Terry in Louisville. They have four grandchildren, and will soon become great grandparents. They now live in Trinity and raise horses. At the present time, they have five registered Paints and Quarterhorses. In addition to raising horses, Bro. Arch Hillman works as a real estate appraiser. Foreign Missions continues
to be of great interest to Bro. Hillman. He stays in touch with what is happening
in the foreign countries, and consistently prays for our missionaries. His
greatest desire for the Kingdom of God is to do what he can to promote the
Gospel. |
