THE LARRY CUDD FAMILY Even though Bro. Larry Cudd and Sis. Joy Cudd were born in different parts of the United States, their lives crossed in Pasadena, Texas, when they were each a part of the youth group at Bro. Glass' church there. Bro. Cudd is second generation Pentecost. He was born in Greenville, Mississippi, and received the Holy Ghost at youth camp in Mississippi when he was 14 years old. Due to his dad's job transfer, his family moved to Pasadena when Bro. Larry was 16 years old. Sis. Cudd was born in Muncie, Indiana, and was a stranger to Pentecost until her family moved to Pasadena when she was 14 years old. She became friends with two girls from Bro. Glass' church, who witnessed to her for four years and kept inviting her to attend church with them. She finally accepted their invitation, realized her need of God, and made her way to an old fashion altar where she repented of her sins, was baptized in Jesus name, and received the baptism of the Holy Ghost. She not only fell in
love with Jesus, but she fell in love with that certain young man in their
youth group, and after dating for six months, Bro. Larry and Sis. Joy
were united in marriage. That marriage was blessed with the birth of two
lovely daughters. Kristin, who is now 19 years old, is a graduate of Groveton
High School, and is employed in the radiology department at Huntsville
Memorial Hospital. Heather, who will be 18 this month, will graduate from
high school in June. She plans to attend college this summer and fall,
and her long range goal is to become a pediatric nurse. She feels the
call of God on her life, and still feels a burden for El Salvador, where
she was part of a youth missions endeavor this past summer.
