THE B. CARRELL FAMILY

Sis. Carrell was born in Puerto Rico. Her family moved to New Jersey in 1956 when she was 7 years old. She grew up in New Jersey and lived there until 1986 when she married Bro. Ken Carrell and then came to live in Huntsville, Texas.

Huntsville Pentecostal Church had its first church service in Augbust 1986. In October, Ken and B. Carrell visited a church service. They did not belong to any church and they had been driving around town just looking at the different churches from the outside. They wanted to find a spirit filled church. Sis. B. had kept the original newspaper advertisement for the Huntsville Pentecostal Church's first service in August, so they decided to visit and see if this was the place the Lord had chosen for them to attend church. Bro. and Sis. Carrell had been praying to the Lord that He would show them which church they should choose. They went that first time; and they decided that was the place to stay. Brother Smith opened up the book of Acts and God used him to open their eyes. Bro. Ken received the Holy Ghost in December of 1986. Sis. Carrell received the Holy Ghost in June, 1989. It was the Sunday morning service right after having come back from the June Camp Meeting in Lufkin. Bro. Holley, now deceased, preached a compelling message that finally broke down the walls that had kept Sis. Carrell from receiving the Holy Ghost for so long.

Sis. Carrell is the mother/grandmother to Lisa Carrell and Jana Hernandez and the grandmother to Stephanie Hernandez. Lisa, now 13 years old, received the Holy Ghost two years ago.

Sis. Carrell's prayer is that her children will grow in the Lord and totally consecrate their lives to Jesus.
