PATSY
ADAMS
Sis. Patsy Adams was born in a farm house in Mineola (Wood County), Texas. She was one of ten children; therefore she learned to cook early and also learned the responsibility of caring for her younger brothers and sisters. She was only 13 years old when she met Maurice Adams, and she married him six days after her 14th birthday. They were chaperoned until the day of their wedding. At the time of Maurice's death in 2000, they had been married 49 years. Sis. Patsy has two daughters and one son, five grandchildren, and three great grand-children. Her daughter, Linda, lives in Houston; Diane lives in Rosenberg; and her son, Donald, lives in Houston and Huntsville. Patsy has known about God since she was a very young girl; but she did not have the whole truth until she was 54 years old. She and her family had lived in both Houston and Huntsville, but in 1990 they moved to DiBoll, where they lived for two years. Her youngest brother in DiBoll witnessed to her about the Holy Ghost and invited her to church. In March 1991, after attending Bro. Davis' church (in Lufkin) for about six months, she was baptized in Jesus Name and received the Holy Ghost. Her husband did not like DiBoll and wanted to return to Huntsville, since it was his home town. Patsy did not want to return to Huntsville, but God showed her that she had to go wherever her husband wanted to go; so that move brought her back to Huntsville and therefore brought her to Huntsville Pentecostal Church. Aren't we thankful that they returned to Huntsville and that she is now a vital part of the HPC church body. Sis. Patsy loves to cook and make quilts. We can all certainly attest to the fact that she is a wonderful gourmet cook; her cakes and pies are not only "picture perfect" but they are incredibly tasty. When she is not baking or cooking for her family and/or church family, you will find her creating a beautiful quilt or attending the many quilt shows throughout the state. We love Sis. Patsy and thank God for her. She is truly a Christian lady to be admired. Her desire for the Kingdom of God is to see souls added to the church, including the family of all of the HPC saints, and for us to grow and mature in the Lord.
